Celebrate National Pizza Party Day with a Farm-to-Fork Twist


It’s National Pizza Party Day (yup, that’s a thing). And while there’s never a bad time to gather with friends and family and give your taste buds a wild ride of tomatoey, cheesy goodness, a national observance certainly gives us a good excuse.

Luckily for us here in the Keystone State, all the ingredients to make a perfect pie are right here in our backyard. As a major dairy state, Pennsylvania has no shortage of farm-fresh cheese. We’re also the top state for mushroom production and a major tomato producer and home to plenty of other farm-fresh veggies and herbs.

So stop by your local farmer’s market for some fresh cheese, meat and veggies, invite some fellow pizza partiers and try putting a farm-to-fork spin on pizza with one of these tasty recipes.
